She’s the only platform diver to earn a gold medal at the Olympics, World Cup AND World Championships . . . the only American diver in history to win a Goodwill Games Gold Medal . . . a top ten finalist for the 76th Annual AAU Sullivan Award . . . After all that, you might think Laura would be ready to take a break. Nope. Not even close.  Sports Illustrated didn’t call her the “tiger of the tower” for nothing!

Laura’s on her way to the 2007 World Championships and keeps a running countdown to the 2008 Olympic Games on her Web site.  But it’s not because she needs another award to stroke her ego.  “I know that I don't need a gold medal to know that I matter,” Laura tells us.  “We each matter because God made us special.”
