A
group of Canadian friends who are “diehard believers in the transformative power of
dreams” ― that’s Hawk Nelson. Looks
like their dreams are coming true: the band was voted "Favorite
New Artist" by CCM Magazine in the 2006 Reader's Choice
Awards. They even appeared as The Who on NBC’s “American
Dreams” and as themselves in the movie “Yours,
Mine & Ours”.
Lifelong fans of pop/punk music, the guys (Jonathan Steingard,
Sqwid, Brio, and Jas) have worked out a distinct balance of harmonies,
intensity and experimentation. They call their latest release, Smile,
It’s the End of the World, a positive response to
a negative world. It’s fun, energetic, and intense – kind
of like Hawk Nelson themselves. |
